Mobile Office
We’re out and about all the time, running from auditions, to classes to support jobs. As actors we need to have access to an office at all times.
We recommend our clients always have these materials on them -
- Headshots/Resume
- Business Cards
- Pens/Pencils
- Highlighters
- Flash Drive
Inexpensive, easy, tiny and carry a whopping amount of information. Carry your headshots, resume, sides, monologues, scanned sheet music as well as other information you might need. (We recommend at least 1 gig of memory.) - Cell Phone/PDA
A cell phone is a must have. If you don't already have one, we recommend upgrading to an iPhone, Blackberry, or Palm Treo for internet and access to email.
Really your computer is your office. As an actor it needs to be mobile so we can take it on the road with us if need be. Here are some computer essentials -
- Laptop/Netbook
Make sure to have Wireless access for email. - Calendar
Allows you to track your auditions and other crucial appointments. iCal, Outlook, Entourage, Google Calendar. - Email
Either online or on your computer. Outlook, Mail, Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc
- Word Processing Software
These programs allow you to write your cover letters and then mail merge them. MS Office/Open Office/iWorks
- Spreadsheet Software
This software allows you to keep track of your contacts as well as organize information. MS Office/Open Office/iWorks
- PDF Reader
Free and often needed to read your sides.
- Photo Editing Program
It allows you to send images of yourself as well as correct images you send out to promote yourself. Photoshop, iPhoto, or the one that came with your camera.
